Whoever Matters Studio is an independent creative studio founded by Deaf writer and lyricist Jameson Green. Built around poetry, original lyrics, storytelling, and emotional intelligence, the studio explores how written words can become meaningful creative works.
My relationship with music began long before I considered writing lyrics. Growing up, I watched MTV with subtitles, observed dancers and performers, and experienced powerful bass vibrations. I learned to recognize expression through movement, emotion, visual storytelling, and the arrangement of words.
Today, I bring those experiences into my writing. I combine poetry with lyrics, working word by word until the language carries the emotion I intend to express. I do not rely on hearing sound to recognize the flow of my writing.
Whoever Matters Studio is also a place for future collaboration. Musicians may create their own arrangements, singers may bring their voices, dancers may interpret the emotions through movement, and ASL interpreters may communicate the meaning through visual language.
The studio is still developing, but its purpose is established. I want to create original lyrics that leave room for different people to experience and express them in their own ways.
My lyrics are for whoever, because they matter.
